Mitsui says Caserones copper mine running at 80 pct utilisation
TOKYO Aug 3 (Reuters) - Japan's Mitsui & Co Ltd said the Caserones copper mine in Chile was currently running at around 80 percent utilisation and that it aimed to further improve its competitiveness under a business plan which was mapped out by a consultant, a company executive said on Wednesday.
The trading house expects iron ore prices, which have recovered more than it had expected in recent months, will likely remain under pressure as oversupply will continue through 2019, Chief Financial Officer Keigo Matsubara said at an earnings news conference.
