COPENHAGEN, July 8 (Reuters) - Danish oil and shipping group A.P. Moller-Maersk said on Monday it would take an impairment charge of $1.7 billion on the book value of Maersk Oil's Brazilian assets which would lower them to $600 million in the group's second-quarter results.
"The Group's guidance for its 2014 results will remain an underlying profit of around USD 4 billion and a group result significantly above last year," the company said in a statement. (Reporting by Shida Chayesteh; editing by Jason Neely)
