Mexico central bank holds rate, points to soft economy, weak peso
MEXICO CITY, July 30 (Reuters) - Mexico's central bank held borrowing costs steady on Thursday, saying the economic outlook had worsened while warning that concerns about higher U.S. interest rates could further deepen a slump in the peso.
The Banco de Mexico left its key rate at 3.00 percent, as expected by all 24 analysts surveyed by Reuters last week. (Reporting By Alexandra Alper)
