TABLE-Analysts nudge up forecasts on Mexican inflation

MEXICO CITY, Aug 1 (Reuters) - Analysts slightly raised
their expectations for inflation in Mexico this year, while
seeing a stronger peso by year-end versus a previous poll, a
Mexican central bank survey showed on Tuesday.
Mexico's annual inflation rate eased less than expected in
the first half of July, data showed last week, but still lent
weight to the central bank's view that price pressures in Latin
America's second biggest economy may be peaking.
Mexico's central bank has hiked interest rates in its last
seven meetings. Central bank Governor Agustin Carstens told
Reuters a pause was likely at its next policy meeting in August
but that it was premature to talk about rate cuts in the first
six to nine months of 2018.
