Brazil creates fewer jobs than expected in June

BRASILIA, July 17 (Reuters) - Brazil added a net 9,821 payroll jobs in June, government data showed on Monday, as the economy created jobs for a third straight month, but did so at a slower pace than expected.

Economists expected the economy to have added 36,000 jobs last month, according to the median forecast in a Reuters poll. Brazil's economy is forecast to grow 0.3 percent in 2017 after contracting more than 3 percent in each of the past two years.
