Brazil's Eletrobras to appeal order to return funds to government -CEO

BRASILIA, Aug 17 (Reuters) - Brazil’s state-run power firm Eletrobras will appeal a decision by electricity regulator Aneel ordering the company to return 3 billion reais ($945.15 million) to a government fund, Eletrobras’ chief executive said on Thursday.

CEO Wilson Ferreira Jr. said Centrais Elétricas Brasileiras SA, as Eletrobras is formally known, should receive 2 billion reais from a government fund known as CCC instead of returning money as Aneel ordered on Wednesday.
