Brazil oil regulator rules out regulations on fuel pricing frequency

RIO DE JANEIRO, July 19 (Reuters) - Brazil’s oil regulator ANP said on Thursday it would not establish a minimum frequency for fuel price adjustments, following a public consultation on the hotly contested issue.

The consultation, from June 11 to July 2, was announced after a nationwide truckers strike over diesel price hikes in May paralyzed Latin America’s biggest economy and prompted the government to cut diesel prices through subsidies and tax cuts.
