BUENOS AIRES, Sept 1 (Reuters) - Argentina’s tax revenue rose 33.5 percent in August compared with a year earlier to 221.275 billion pesos ($12.86 billion), the AFIP tax agency said on Friday.
Argentina’s tax collection has begun to exceed inflation in recent months. In July, 12-month inflation in the greater Buenos Aires area was 21.5 percent, while tax collection rose 31.8 percent. The government has not yet published August inflation data. ($1 = 17.2000 Argentine pesos) (Reporting by Luc Cohen)
