Peru cenbank keeps benchmark interest rate at 2.75 pct

LIMA, June 7 (Reuters) - Peru’s central bank kept the benchmark interest unchanged at 2.75 percent on Thursday, noting improving business expectations and a recovery in consumption and investment despite below-potential economic growth.

The bank reiterated that it would maintain an expansive monetary policy stance until inflation accelerates to its goal of 2 percent with inflation expectations anchored.
