Brazil July economic activity grows more than expected

BRASILIA, Sept 17 (Reuters) - Economic activity in Brazil expanded at a faster-than-expected rate in July, central bank data showed on Monday, suggesting a bright start to the third quarter ahead of key presidential elections.

The central bank’s economic activity index rose 0.57 percent from June, compared to the median 0.2 percent estimate in a Reuters poll of economists. (Reporting by Bruno Federowski)
