LIMA, Nov 1 (Reuters) - Peru’s consumer price index rose 0.14 percent in October, according to data released by the government on Sunday.
The reading came in just above the 0.12 percent rise forecast in a Reuters poll.
In September, Peru consumer prices edged 0.03 percent higher. Inflation over the 12 months through October was 3.66 percent, above the central bank’s target ceiling of 3 percent.
The central bank said Oct. 16 that it expected a low monthly increase of consumer prices in October, which would help bring rising inflation expectations back in line with its forecasts. (Reporting by Marco Aquino; editing by John Stonestreet)
