BRASILIA, Aug 8 (Reuters) - Brazilian infrastructure firm Triunfo Participações won an injunction to avoid drawing from an insurance premium to pay licensing rights for the Viracopos airport, which it plans to return to the government in coming months.
Triunfo is in the process of restructuring its debt and decided last month with its partners to return the concession to the government due to unexpectedly low passenger traffic.
The injunction was granted by a federal judge in Brasilia, Triunfo said in a security filing on Tuesday.
Last week, a government official in charge of investment partnerships in infrastructure told Reuters that Viracopos, an airport serving the city of Campinas in Sao Paulo state, will be included in a new round of concessions at the end of this month.
