Peru posts $1.16 bln trade surplus in June -central bank

LIMA, Aug 9 (Reuters) - Peru posted a $1.16 billion trade surplus in June, the biggest this year, due to strong copper, zinc and fishmeal exports, the central bank said on Thursday.

In the first half of 2018, Peru’s trade balance rose to $3.78 billion, compared to $2.49 billion in the same period of last year, the bank added in a statement. (Reporting by Mitra Taj Editing by Tom Brown)
