HOUSTON, March 18 (Reuters) - Argentina’s oil firm Pluspetrol and its partners at blocks 88 and 56 at the Camisea field in Peru launched a tender to sell one 300,000 barrel cargo combining naphtha and medium distillate blend stock (MDBS) for delivery on April 10-12 at Pisco, according to an invitation seen by Reuters on Tuesday.
Pluspetrol and other private companies working in Peru offer at least one monthly cargo of virgin naphtha or natural gasoline on the open market. The Argentine company also sells Peruvian crudes, such as Loreto and Mayna.
Earlier this month, Pluspetrol sold two 300,000 barrel cargoes of naphtha, which will be delivered during April.
For this tender, the company detailed that bidders can also opt to buy only 150,000 barrels of MDBS. Sellers will include Spain’s Repsol, U.S. Hunt Oil, Argentina’s Tecpetrol, Algeria’s Sonatrach and Korean SK Innovation
Naphtha prices must be indexed to the U.S. Gulf Coast and MDBS prices must refer to natural gasoline from Mont Belvieu. Offers will be accepted until March 19.
