SAO PAULO, July 31 (Reuters) - Brazil’s Embraer SA , the world’s biggest regional jet maker, on Thursday reported second-quarter net income of 320 million reais ($142 million), up from a year-earlier net loss of 10 million reais.
Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization rose 36 percent to 583 million reais ($260 million).
Analysts on average had forecast net income of $116 million and EBITDA of $238 million in a Reuters survey. They gave estimates in U.S. dollars, but Embraer initially reported earnings in Brazilian reais.
