CORRECTED-Argentina central bank keeps rate on short-term securities unchanged

(Corrects headline to say interest rates on short-term securities, not policy rate; corrects first paragraph to say interest rates on short-term securities, not benchmark seven-day interbank lending rate)

BUENOS AIRES, Aug 15 (Reuters) - Argentina’s central bank said Tuesday that it kept interest rates on short-term securities unchanged at 26.5 percent, in line with market expectations.

The monetary authority added that it issued 453.42 million pesos ($26.55 million) worth in Lebac securities amid 453.75 million in demand for the instruments.
