LIMA, Aug 25 (Reuters) - Peru’s government raised its forecast for the trade surplus to $5 billion for both 2017 and 2018, more than $1 billion higher than its previous estimates in April, the finance ministry said in a biannual report on Friday.

The ministry also reduced its official view of gross domestic product growth to 2.8 percent from 3.0 percent in April, in line with recent remarks by government officials.
