Brazil's Petrobras says running short of bunker fuel

SAO PAULO, Aug 30 (Reuters) - Brazil’s state-controlled oil company Petróleo Brasileiro SA, known as Petrobras, said on Wednesday its supplies of bunker oil have been impacted due to a spike in demand for fuel from thermal power plants in the country.

The company said it will work to re-establish bunker fuel and fuel oil supplies by sometime in September. It said it had been in contact with clients, particularly in the shipping industry, to try to minimize any eventual refueling problems involving ships.
