S.Korea's KOSPO seeks 552,000 T/Y coal for 2016-2018

SEOUL, June 2 (Reuters) - Korea Southern Power Co Ltd
(KOSPO) is seeking 552,000 tonnes of steaming coal
per year via a term tender, the utility said on its website. (www.kospo.co.kr)
    The tender will close at 2 p.m. (0500 GMT) on June 8. Bids
should be made on a free-on-board-trimmed basis.
    The contractual period for the term tender is from August
2016 to December 2018. The agency is seeking Colombian coal
    Each bidder is requested to offer a total of 552,000 tonnes
per year in lots of 138,000 tonnes. For the first year, the
first shipment should be made between the second half of August
and the first half of September, with the remaining shipments to
be made between November and December.
    Details of the tender for the first year are as follows.
    138,000        only 6,100kcal/kg      2H Aug.-1H Sept.
    414,000        only 6,100kcal/kg      Nov.-Dec. 2016
    * Note: NCV stands for Net Calorific Value.
