S.Korea's KOSPO buys 628,000 T coal for Feb-April; seeks to buy 145,000 T for April

    SEOUL, Feb 17 (Reuters) - Korea Southern Power Co Ltd
(KOSPO) bought a total of 628,000 tonnes of coal for shipping
between February and April, and seeks to buy another 145,000
tonnes of coal for April shipping, according to a source and the
state-run utility website.
    The utility purchased the 628,000 tonnes of low calorific
coal from Indonesia in two separate tenders, the source said on
Friday, declining to give seller and price details.             
    The 145,000-tonne coal tender will close at 2 p.m. (0500
GMT) on Feb. 21. 
    Other details of the tender are as follows:
       145,000   min. 5,800 kcal/kg   April H2, 2017
    *Note: NCV stands for Net Calorific Value. The utility only
seeks Colombian-origin coal.
