Peru consumer price index rose 0.24 pct in January-govt

LIMA, Feb 1 (Reuters) - The consumer price index for Lima, which Peru’s central bank uses to guide monetary policy, rose 0.24 percent in January, state statistics agency Inei said in the official gazette El Peruano on Wednesday.

A Reuters poll had forecast a 0.27 percent rise. Inei is scheduled to release additional data on January inflation later on Wednesday.
