Brazil questions US tariffs on its steel exports at WTO

BRASILIA, Nov 11 (Reuters) - Brazil requested the World Trade Organization open a case that could eventually challenge U.S. tariffs on Brazilian steel exports, which could be an important test case for the increased use of tariffs as de facto trade barriers, the Foreign Ministry said on Friday.

The United States slapped anti-dumping tariffs on Brazilian steelmakers CSN and Usiminas earlier in 2016. (Reporting by Lisandra Paraguassu; Writing by Reese Ewing and Brad Brooks)
