Argentina's YPF suspended from drilling in Neuquen oil field

BUENOS AIRES, Nov 21 (Reuters) - Argentina’s Neuquen province has suspended the environmental license for oil company YPF to drill in the Bandurria oil field in the Patagonian shale formation of Vaca Muerta, the state-controlled energy company said in a statement on Wednesday.

The suspension, in response to an Oct. 19 oil spill, does not affect other Vaca Muerta drilling sites. The statement said the company is working with local authorities to resolve the environmental concerns caused by the spill.
