Brazil economy adds net 121,387 jobs in August - Economy Ministry

BRASILIA, Sept 25 (Reuters) - Brazil’s economy added a net 121,387 jobs in August, the Economy Ministry said on Wednesday, more than economists had expected and the fifth month in a row of job growth.

The median estimate of a Reuters poll of economists was for a net addition of 98,000 jobs. This brings the total number of formal jobs created so far this year to just under 600,000. (Reporting by Jamie McGeever Editing by Chizu Nomiyama)
