Brazil inflation 0.21% in January vs December, less than expected

BRASILIA, Feb 7 (Reuters) - Brazilian consumer price inflation, as measured by the IPCA index, rose 0.21% in January, government statistics agency IBGE said on Friday, less than the 0.34% economists in a Reuters poll had expected.

Prices rose 4.19% in the 12 months through January, also less than the median forecast of 4.32%.
