RIO DE JANEIRO, Jan 15 (Reuters) - Décio Oddone, the head of Brazil’s petroleum regulator ANP, said in a statement on Wednesday he had written to President Jair Bolsonaro asking for permission to leave his post early.

Oddone, who had been due to step down in December, said he would stay in his post long enough for his successor to be appointed. (Reporting by Marta Nogueira Editing by Chris Reese)
