SANTIAGO, June 5 (Reuters) - Chile’s economic activity rose 2.1 percent in April versus the same month a year ago, its central bank said on Wednesday when it released its IMACEC economic activity index.
The number was in line with market expectations.
Compared with March, economic activity in April was up 0.3 percent. The index encompasses about 90 percent of the economy tallied in gross domestic product figures.
