May 10 (Reuters) - The following bids, mergers, acquisitions and disposals were reported by 2030 GMT on Friday:
** South Africa’s Competition Appeals Court will rule next week on a union request to block the mining deal in which Sibanye-Stillwater intends to acquire rival Lonmin , legal counsel said.
** Thailand’s Global Power Synergy Pcl plans to buy a 250-megawatt power project from Thai Oil Pcl for $757 million, the companies said.
** Britain’s Brewin Dolphin has agreed to buy Investec’s Irish wealth business for 44 million euros ($49 million) in cash in a deal it said would make it one of the country’s top-three wealth managers.
** Utilities investor Infratil Ltd said it was in talks with Vodafone Group Plc to buy, along with another unnamed party, the telecom giant’s New Zealand operations.

** Latin America’s largest investment bank Banco BTG Pactual SA may spinoff its 29% stake in the Swiss private bank EFG International, the chief financial officer told analysts.
** Thailand’s largest industrial conglomerate Siam Cement Group Pcl (SCG) acquired a 55% stake in Indonesian paper packaging company, PT Fajar Surya Wisesa Tbk from existing shareholders for $665 million, it said.
** The chief executive of British Airways owner IAG ruled out bidding for Thomas Cook’s airline unit, a day after rival Virgin Atlantic was reported to be interested in part of the business.
** Hamleys, the world’s oldest toy retailer, is set to pass from Chinese to Indian control after Reliance Industries Ltd said it had agreed to buy the British high street icon in a deal worth $88.5 million.
** Slovenia’s state-owned postal service agreed to buy a majority stake in local shipping firm Intereuropa, Posta Slovenije said.
** Asset manager IFM Investors will acquire pipeline operator Buckeye Partners LP in an all-cash deal for $6.5 billion, they said in a joint statement.
** Middle Eastern carrier Etihad Airways has submitted a bid for a stake in India’s Jet Airways, the unit of State Bank of India (SBI) overseeing the sale of the stricken airline.
** Fresenius has approached potential suitors about the sale of its blood transfusion business, two people with knowledge of the matter said.
