Peru's central bank holds key rate at 2.75 percent

LIMA, Nov 8 (Reuters) - Peru’s central bank set the benchmark interest rate at 2.75 percent for the ninth month in a row as sluggish economic growth and inflation are expected to quicken.

The bank has signaled it would likely hold the country’s benchmark interest rate until next year unless an unexpectedly strong economic recovery spurs inflation before then. (Reporting by Marco Aquino; Editing by Chris Reese)
